The last chapter of Kateikyo Hitman Reborn was positively the most S&M fight I have ever seen. First we have a beautiful blond man who uses a whip, then we have Hibari, who is always talking about 'disciplining' and 'punishing' people... and now his Vongola box weapon is handcuffs.

They're just begging me to write fanfic.

Also, I spent all day yesterday making collages, and while they're all really awesome and I can't wait to work with them, none of them really fits what I most needed... helping me organize thoughts to start prewriting for NaNoWriMo.

if dreams are sweeter than this rubber talon against the groin that life is - why is it some days they hover on the edge of nightmares, leaving your body cold and afraid to drift back to sleep again, just like losing - and why are some nights warm with the satisfaction that has not come for years, and revelations that seem true on waking, "he would do that!" but in houses with floorplans that are not normal and secrets that never end...

It's by no means rare or unusual to see the Seven Deadly Sins used as a thematic element or trope in movies, TV, books or comics. Somehow, there are still new and fresh ways to use them so it avoids getting stale (usually). But I have noticed a very weird trend when it comes to the Seven Deadlies in anime. Two for two on the very visible uses of this theme, the characters assigned to Sloth are actively sadistic psychopaths. They are more likely to cut your face off than the Wrath characters.

Examples and ideas... have any more? (Note that I will go into detail about some pretty nasty things these characters have done) )

Neville + Snape, rated R for masturbation to orgasm.

Title: Reinvented In Memory
Chapter: I/That Lady's Name Was Ruin
Author: malefics
Pairing: Rowena Ravenclaw(Ruin Peverell[1]) gen. Rowena background chapter.
Rating/Warnings: Very very dark. Implications of abuse, m/m rape.
Notes: Reinventing a lot of history and characterization. Dark, moody, angsty. Perhaps eventually multi-author (if I'm lucky). Very uber, very meta. Hopefully you'll enjoy it! This is also 25 Quote Challenge #28.

People's personalities, like buildings, have various facades, some pleasant to view, some not.

Damn. Well, if I have any watchers left after all this 'no, I'm really back' and then long absences, the trick is that I really thought I'd be switching journals -and informing you all, of course- but in fact I just decided that this journal has sentimental value and the handle isn't -too- tacky. So back I get.

You know, I think I get inspired to fanfic by the oddest things. First Solipsism and Founders Fic, and now a random reference in the Elric Saga by Moorcock... the beginnings of Melnibone. There are no canons, so it's hardly fanfiction, just the epic and really potentially dark and dirty story of a war between Princes of the Balance, and those who are so ambitious they would compromise and sell their souls to a Duke of Chaos to survive...

Time for Christmas cards! You all know the drill. Post a theme, a kink, a pairing or a fandom. I'll post 300-1000 word ficlets the week before Christmas.

And don't worry, I'm actually back now. Stay tuned for updates on the Solipsism/Inside trilogy, as well as a little bit of Meine Liebe, Pirates of the Caribbean and GG/SS.

So, it's been ages since my last update. I've about got life together and off my lazy bum, so I'd like to start posting fic and poetry and whatnot again.

Unfortunately, because of long absence, I doubt people are watching this much, so I will ask: What would you, my flist, like to see? Are there any ficlets or projects that you've been craving? Things to sharpen me up and get me back in the game. Comms you'd like to pimp?

What categorizes erotica really, keeping it away from stories with sex in them or 'pornography'? Have I ever written erotica before? Where are the thin lines involved, if there are any?

In the Dead Language
Regulus + Walburga, Lucius/Regulus, implied Lucius/Walburga
R for sexuality
for [info]alittlewhisper, a late birthday present.
You said anything with sex, angst and pretty words.
This can also be seen as a prequel to "In the Dead Room."
warning: may be a little 'flowery'

Mother, you are the one mouth
I would be a tongue to. Mother of otherness
Eat me. Wastebasket gaper, shadow of doorways.

What Cleanliness is Next To
Les Miserables
Grantaire/Enjolras
R; shoe worship, masturbatory/explicit sexual images, angst

Opposites Attract Challenge info:
Word count: 1106
Opposition: Ideology/worldview

Grantaire is too old to be among these boys and too much of a cynic to be among these dreamers. He often thinks of each member of their little fraternité as an extension of some personal prop. Many are like fans, delicate and easily spread. He has seen and sampled many of their ilk over the course of his life, for money trickles freely through the white hands of idealists, who look with disgust upon the reality that one must finance a revolution.

Grantaire himself is the very soul of the bottle he has stopped all his dreams up within... )

Because I feel like doing a challenge, here's my side project to get me back into fandom. Anyone else who'd like to give it a try is welcome.

Opposites Attract Challenge
Write at least three fics in three separate fandoms, including at least one pairing and at least one 'kink' (obviously, it can be any rating you choose) that you've never done before. Fics must be at least 500 words each.

Each pairing must be opposite in some way, but no form of opposition can be used more than once.

I'm going to try this, only I will attempt to write eight fandoms. Because three really isn't a challenge for me if I get to write short fics.

Regulus/Sirius
PG; very slightly sexualized relationship, minor hint of slash

The frost had come early, striking the over-blown and delicate flowers of the rosebushes with a deadly force. Withered petals now drooped in defeat, and in some places brittle frozen stems and vines had snapped, now lying brown and dead amid the cold grass and slick cobbles. A faint mist of rain hung in the air, teetering in indecision over whether to surrender into vapor or to fall in aggressive needles of sleet. In Sirius' hair, tiny droplets had already formed a glittering net.

What she remembers of Abraxas is that he bit her mouth when she spoke of stones and of their screaming, and how when she told him she was to marry, he bruised the flowers in his hands and spoke of nothing.

Sorry for disappearing lately. I've been very ill and school requirements just don't stop. Finals next week.

It is nearly the end of February and no time for New Year's resolutions. I'm still working hard on last year's resolution, which may be a lifelong thing.

Most of these are considerably more warning-heavy than last year... )

Lucifer/Michael, PG - for [info]liriaen, who asked for champagne.
This is mostly my own version of them, but there are hints of Milton and Gaiman and Carey, here. It turned into a bit more of a debate than a seduction, but there is a lot of romance underpinning it. It's all about love, so... Happy Valentine's Day!

It felt good, didn't it? To feel something at all. )
